Vic: Off-duty policewoman injured in bar robbery
MELBOURNE, Feb 21 AAP - An off-duty policewoman was pistol-whipped after trying to
stop two armed bandits who held up a hotel south of Melbourne.
Investigators say the masked men, armed with a handgun and a knife, burst into the
Somerville Hotel, on the Mornington Peninsula, about 11pm (AEDT) yesterday.
One hotel patron, an off-duty policewoman, tackled one of the men but was beaten over
the head with the gun and kicked as she fell to the ground.
