Eye on Small Business: Building shows furniture in use

With architect Frank Lloyd Wright as his inspiration, Dale Schwan consolidated his offices into a new building in April.

Schwan said he admires Wright's usage of geometric shapes and the way he fused architecture with nature.

"He believed that buildings should blend into the environment," Schwan said of Wright.

Schwan and his wife, Kathleen, own Environmental Interiors Inc. Established in 1976, Environmental Interiors sells office furniture, as well as artwork and carpets. Some of its product lines are Haworth, SMED International and Anderson Hickey. The company also offers interior-design services.
